In the Javari Valley, that strength translated into an urgent call to protect the lives of those who only ask that their right to exist be respected. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Border Under Pressure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>Javari<\/strong> Valley is not just a sanctuary of biodiversity: it is a territory under siege.<br\/><br\/>Routes for <strong>drug trafficking, logging, illegal hunting, and mining<\/strong> converge here, in one of the most fragile and dangerous areas of the Amazon. Documented cases from past decades show how simple, accidental contacts led to the disappearance of entire peoples. <\/p>\n\n<p>Therefore, preventive protection, through exclusion zones and permanent monitoring, is the only truly ethical and viable policy.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Demands for COP30: No to an Energy Transition at the Expense of the PIACI<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>As the Flotilla advances towards<strong> Manaus<\/strong> and then <strong>Bel\u00e9m<\/strong>, where its journey will culminate at <strong>COP30<\/strong>, it carries a firm message: <br\/>the energy transition <strong>cannot replicate fossil fuel injustices<\/strong> or sacrifice Indigenous territories in the name of the climate.<\/p>\n\n<p>From the heart of the Amazon, the Flotilla will demand:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Recognition of the right to exist and creation of &#8220;Exploitation-Free Zones&#8221;<strong> <\/strong><br\/><\/strong>Demanding an immediate ban on all extractive activities in recognized PIACI territories, nullifying concessions and applications for critical minerals, and guaranteeing the principle of <em>no-contact<\/em> as a fundamental right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Supply Chain Responsibility <strong> <\/strong><\/strong><br\/>Urging governments, corporations, and multilateral bodies to establish traceability and sanction mechanisms to prevent minerals from PIACI territories from entering global value chains.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A Rights-Based Just Transition <strong> <\/strong><\/strong><br\/>Promoting an energy transition that repairs the historical injustices of the fossil fuel model and strengthens Indigenous governance, ensuring that climate finance reaches those who care for the forest directly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Silence That Also Speaks<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>Peoples in Isolation<\/strong> have no speakers at summits or in the media.
