The demarcation and full protection of indigenous territories, especially those where the PIACI are present, are effective climate policies that guarantee our rights and strengthen biodiversity conservation and climate balance. 2 Direct financing and financial autonomy Financial mechanisms, including those of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), must include and prioritize mechanisms for direct access to resources for IndigenousPeoples, strengthening our own organizations, funds, and strategies to mitigate, adapt, and combat loss and damage. We demand that the financial architecture of the UNFCCC include our indigenous organizations and our own financial mechanisms, such as existing indigenous funds, for the allocation of resources aimed at climate mitigation, adaptation, and combating loss and damage in indigenous territories. 3 Representation and effective participation Ensure in all climate decision-making spaces, including those at COP30, the full, equitable, inclusive, effective and gender-responsive representation and participation of Indigenous Peoples in decision-making. It is critical to ensure that this representation derives from our own systems of government. 4 Protection of indigenous defenders The safety of leaders and defenders who protect the forest must be an essential part of climate policies. 5 Inclusion of Indigenous knowledge systems Our Indigenous knowledge systems and sustainable ways of life must be recognizedas legitimate strategies for mitigation, adaptation, and environmental restoration. 6 Exploitation-free zones in indigenous territories We demand a decree establishing indigenous territories as areas free from extractive activities, in order to protect life, rights, and ecosystems.","og_url":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/","article_publisher":"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=61581712270937","article_published_time":"2025-10-06T20:16:57+00:00","article_modified_time":"2025-10-08T20:47:24+00:00","og_image":[{"width":1596,"height":871,"url":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-pantalla-2025-10-06-a-las-7.00.53-p.-m.poe_.jpg","type":"image\/jpeg"}],"author":"davidpinton6@gmail.com","twitter_card":"summary_large_image","twitter_creator":"@amazonflotilla","twitter_site":"@amazonflotilla","twitter_misc":{"Written by":"davidpinton6@gmail.com","Est. reading time":"2 minutes"},"schema":{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"Article","@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#article","isPartOf":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/"},"author":{"name":"davidpinton6@gmail.com","@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/#\/schema\/person\/a7b552ec13b351a59dce28aac179855d"},"headline":"Calls To Action From Indigenous Peoples for COP30","datePublished":"2025-10-06T20:16:57+00:00","dateModified":"2025-10-08T20:47:24+00:00","mainEntityOfPage":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/"},"wordCount":342,"commentCount":0,"publisher":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/#organization"},"image":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#primaryimage"},"thumbnailUrl":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-pantalla-2025-10-06-a-las-7.00.53-p.-m.poe_.jpg","articleSection":["Destacado"],"inLanguage":"en-US","potentialAction":[{"@type":"CommentAction","name":"Comment","target":["https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#respond"]}]},{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/","url":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/","name":"Calls To Action From Indigenous Peoples for COP30 -","isPartOf":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/#website"},"primaryImageOfPage":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#primaryimage"},"image":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#primaryimage"},"thumbnailUrl":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-pantalla-2025-10-06-a-las-7.00.53-p.-m.poe_.jpg","datePublished":"2025-10-06T20:16:57+00:00","dateModified":"2025-10-08T20:47:24+00:00","breadcrumb":{"@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#breadcrumb"},"inLanguage":"en-US","potentialAction":[{"@type":"ReadAction","target":["https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/"]}]},{"@type":"ImageObject","inLanguage":"en-US","@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#primaryimage","url":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-pantalla-2025-10-06-a-las-7.00.53-p.-m.poe_.jpg","contentUrl":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-pantalla-2025-10-06-a-las-7.00.53-p.-m.poe_.jpg","width":1596,"height":871,"caption":"RESULTS OF THE INDIGENOUS PRE-COP"},{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/results-of-the-indigenous-pre-cop\/#breadcrumb","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Portada","item":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/home\/"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Calls To Action From Indigenous Peoples for COP30"}]},{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/#website","url":"https:\/\/amazonflotilla.quipa.org\/en\/","name":"Yaku Mama Flotilla Amaz\u00f3nica","description":"Navegamos de los Andes a la Amazon\u00eda rumbo a la COP30 en Belem.
